We Love: Chanel Wedding Style

Remember when Keira Knightly recycled her little blush pink Chanel ballerina dress for her wedding?

And a pregnant and radiant Drew Barrymore wore Chanel for an entirely different, still beautiful effect.

And our featured image, supermodel bride Kristen McMenamy at her wedding with Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld and fellow model Naomi Campbell, via this lovely link to Vogue Weddings.

Since then, we’ve been pretty enticed by the allure of Chanel-inspired touches for weddings.

Links We Love: French Polynesia & Doughnut Cake

Our friend posted on Facebook, “You can never hug and kiss your loved ones enough.” Which expresses our sentiments exactly. We want to spend this weekend holding our dearest near, and trying to spread a little kindness wherever the opportunity arises. Here’s where you can donate to those who’ve been affected by the tragic events on April 15th.

It’s a pretty major splurge, but we’d love to snuggle down with our family in these heart print sheets from D. Porthault. They could be a great wedding registry item.

The styling in this bridal-inspired fashion editorial in French Glamour is too edgy for most, but the accessories would be amazing on anyone.

These retro wedding cakes are some of the most original we’ve seen. They look kind of Midcentury Modern, no?

Want something a little less fancy? We’re dying for an occasion to make a doughnut cake.

Why are we so obsessed with cake? Because.

We blogged about Gatsby style here, and now Brooks Brothers has announced an entire Great Gatsby themed collection.

We love this rosé colored dress and mood board. We’d add this.

If you’re planning a beach honeymoon or just getting ready for summer, Beyoncé and H&M have some bikinis to show you. We love the photography and Bey’s womanly curves.

Where shall I wear them, you ask? Ideally, French Polynesia. Where the water is turquoise and the breeze is vanilla-scented.

We Love: Claire Pettibone Spring 2013

These detail photos of Claire Pettibone’s Spring 2013 trunk show convey just the kind of sumptuous, vintage-y feeling we wanted for our own spring collection. With Great Gatsby wedding style making a comeback, intricately detailed, luxe wedding attire is looking more 1920s free spirit (and less stuffy and dated.) We’re swooning over the gowns on Claire Pettibone’s website, especially decadent Hazel. We’d love to see it together with our botanically-inspired Lucia Wedding Set.

And aristocratic Belle, which we could totally see on Lady Mary from Downton. To be paired with the regal Hayden Engagement Ring.

We Love: Great Gatsby Wedding

We love decadent Art Deco style, so we can’t wait to see Baz Luhrmann’s new Gatsby movie when it opens May 10. Lovely ingenue Carey Mulligan stars in the role of Daisy Buchanan, and the crazy-good costumes are by Prada!
